Cosmetic Options

Improve Your Smile

Your smile displays your personality to the world and is connected to vitality, confidence and wellbeing.

Just as we are individuals with our own personalities, our smiles are too, and we pride ourselves in providing different options to improve our patients smiles. You can make improvements to your smile from simple teeth whitening procedures, cosmetic bonding, invisible braces and cosmetic veneers and crowns.

Tooth Whitening

Tooth whitening is a popular and safe treatment when delivered by the dental care team. Teeth darken through the years partly from external factors such as foods and drinks that stain teeth but also from within the tooth as part of the natural ageing process.

To get started with improving the colour of your teeth a full assessment is carried out by one of our dentists to prescribe the most suitable whitening technique and system to bring about the desired results.

We use Philips Zoom Whitening, both in-house treatment and an at-home prescribed system. It is possible to lighten your teeth by up to 12 shades.

Cosmetic Bonding

Cosmetic bonding is a treatment whereby the tooth shape and structure is created by adding a cosmetic resin material to the tooth to create desired changes. This is suitable for changing the shape or structure of the tooth as well as altering the colour.

These modern materials are durable and can be added to the natural tooth without much preparation meaning that it preserves the natural structure of the teeth.

Once the smile is designed, our dentist's layer on the cosmetic resin material and carry out a polishing technique to give the teeth lustre and shine. This is carried out in a single visit, allowing for an instant smile transformation.

Invisible Braces

Invisible braces are a very popular form of orthodontics (straightening teeth) and are suitable for all age groups of patients. When teeth are straight and aligned, they not only look more aesthetically pleasing but they support oral hygiene because the teeth are easier to clean.

The procedure begins with a digital scan of your mouth, which then goes through a digital programme to design the treatment. The dentist then prescribes the aligner design from that and will provide a series of aligners to you to wear. Each aligner makes small movements in the teeth until the desired tooth position is achieved.
